Some exciting news form our friends at Connaught Public School: A new 'buddy bench' has just been installed in the kindergarten play yard. Eight Beaver Scouts from the 32nd Ottawa helped raised funds which were put towards to bench as part of their North Star Award in the 2016/2017 session. A 'buddy bench' (if you don't know) is place where a child can sit to let others know that s/he is eager to join a new game. A representative from the School Council asked me to pass along their appreciation. I know that the new bench has generated lots of discussion and excitement in the yard. Well done!
