Hello everyone!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back all of our returning Cubs and families, and extend a special welcome to all our new Cubs and families. This will be an exciting and fun-filled year.
My name is Tamara, formerly known both as Raksha with the 32nd Cubs, and Rainbow with the 32nd Beavers. Scouter Tom (formerly known as Akela) will be passing on the Akela gauntlet to me. I have big shoes to fill, and hopefully won't make too many blunders along the way.
This year is full of changes: most notable being our new Den. Our meetings will now take place in the gym at Connaught Public School at 1149 Gladstone Avenue. Another change is our meeting time. Please note that our meetings will now take place on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00pm. We have had to make this change because interest in the Beaver program has been so high that they have added a second colony on Wednesday evenings.
Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, September 21, from 6:30 to 8:00pm.
We have a full group of (no doubt) enthusiastic Cubs this year! The other leaders and I are busy winding our way down The Canadian Path (the new Scout program). Hopefully we won't get too lost. In the meantime, here are some dates to set aside:
Finally, we are always in need of volunteers. We have a large group of Cubs this year and can use all the help we can get. If you are able to volunteer your time please get in touch with me. No Scouting (or Guiding) experience is necessary!
