Concerning your Scout, we need :
- proper registration with Scouts Canada
- A valid passport. Currently passport turnaround times are about 9 days without even paying the "rush" fee, so there is still time
- Two photocopies of your Scout’s passport identification page. One should be in a plastic zip-lock bag and packed in an outside pocket of your Scout’s pack. The other will be held by one of the Leaders (i.e. one leader will have the passports, and another will have the photocopies.
- A photocopy of your Scout's OHIP card.
- Two signed consent letters by both parents, particularly in cases where both parents do not reside together (unless your custody agreement specifically permits you to make these decisions unilaterally). They are:
1. US Boarder Parent Consent Letter,
2. Scouts Canada Parent/Guardian Consent Form
- A photocopy of your supplemental insurance card. Many workplaces provide supplemental health insurance as part of your benefits package. If this is not your case, any insurance provider will be happy to sell it to you for about $15 for the weekend.
- A completed Scout Information Check List. It is a summary of information about your Scout. This form will help us quickly identify any required information about your Scout and helps you as a check list for all of the required information.
If all of the “I”s are not dotted, “T”s crossed and signatures in place, your Scout will be left out. No Exceptions. We can’t be travelling across the international border without this information. We need to confirm if your Scout will be coming by September 20th and the paperwork information needs to be provided no later than September 23rd.
